Walking holidays in Kalundborg
There is lots of visible sky in Kalundborg, and plenty of trails that lead you out to the most fantastic natural places, where you can only get to by foot.
Hiking in Kalundborg and the surrounding area In Kalundborg and the surrounding area there are plenty of trails. For example go to the tip of Asnæs or Røsnæs or follow Nekselø paths. Or walk around Skarresø lake, maybe you'll see one of the white-tailed eagles, who live by the lake.
Stay at a hostel  Have a nice mini holiday in West Zealand. Stay at Kalundborg hostel, and take part in some of the activities, which Denmark’s nature conservancy association arranges. At Kalundborg Tourist Office and at the hostel, you can get map directions for local hiking areas.

SjællandsledenEastern Danish Tourism and Region Zealand have designed a wonderful walk called Sjælland Leden from Sjællands Odde in the north to Næstved in the south. The trip is divided into routes of 7-15 km, and some of these stages pass through the Kalundborg area. There is, for example a trip from Tømmerup to Asnæstangen at Kalundborg, or a trip from Fugledegård by Tissø to Bjerge Sydstrand (south beach). You can also take the trip southwards from Reersø to Bildsø Skov (Bildsø wood) or eastwards from Eskebjerg Vesterlyng to Jyderup. At www.sjaellandsleden.dk you can plan your own routes with an indication of the attractions, viewpoints etc that you wish to pass.
