Every year in the school summer holidays various child- and family activities are arranged in the outdoors around Kalundborg. There are several activities each week, and these activities are assigned a personal guide.

For example, you can catch crabs and shrimps on the beach. You can also hear the story about how the crab shield becomes too small or the one about the common mussel, which initially starts its life as a tiny caterpillar on a rock.

You can also take off into the woods and examine the different animals. Look for the various mousetraps in the woods and figure out what mice are there, how many there are and how far they move around. You also have the opportunity to go out and find butterflies and other insects in Eskebjerg Vesterlyng. A guide will tell about the animals' life and show where the animals live.



If the weather is not so good, you can be indoors at the painter's workshop. Here you can learn to paint using many different materials, or perhaps you can make your very own candles with the candle maker.
